It doesn't do anything useful, the path finding on it doesn't work and sometimes it will just sit a few feet away from a mob and do absolutely nothing. Please fix it so that the pet sits on your *** the entire time and follows you more accurately. Also add more options to tell it what to do. It is crazy that there is a literally a cool down to tell your pet where to go.

I've had my pet screw things up over a dozen times today. This is unacceptable when the class specific pets aren't this horrible.
